Acrid Revision

Untitle I, chemicals and paint on print, 27x34in, 2012

Everything is either junk or progressing towards becoming garbage.

An artwork's status, particularly commercial prints of original artwork, are highly susceptible to generational taste and social preference. What was tasteful one day is outdated and unwanted the next.

By utilizing household chemicals and paint I revise old commercial prints. This palimpsestic treatment becomes a catalyst for the prints' rapidly dimishing quality while intrigue increases exponentially.
